John Lynch will be speaking at the American Bar Association Business Law Section Annual Meeting, which will be held September 11, 2014, in Chicago, IL.
John will be speaking at the panel, "Mortgage Loan Servicing - A Litigator's Perspective." The session will discuss the ability of individual consumers to enforce contractual loss mitigation requirements, such as those provided in FHA and VA mortgages, in court; as well as enforcing non-contractual requirements, such as the new CFBP servicing rule, HAMP, and AG settlement requirements, through lawsuits. Legal claims and the availability of damages, through civil penalties, punitives, and actual damages in these cases will be discussed in detail.
