Back from the brink and ready to get back to lending
Partner James Stevens is quoted in an April 30 story in the American Banker titled, “Back from the brink and ready to get back to lending.” The article talks about the resurgence of Porter Bancorp in Louisville, Ky., a regional bank that provides commercial, equine, agricultural and personal banking solutions. The bank was recently renamed Limestone Bank. James talks about the bank’s growth opportunities now that regulatory orders are gone, adding that its fresh capital should also allow management to increase the size of the bank’s balance sheet. James is quoted, saying, “To me, the future looks pretty bright. They have some scale and a long-term management team that’s experienced in these markets.”
