Charles “Chuck” Charpentier Joins Troutman Sanders in Washington, D.C. and Expands Finance Practice
WASHINGTON – Oct. 6, 2016 - Troutman Sanders LLP announced today that Charles “Chuck” Charpentier has joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as a partner in the Finance practice. Charpentier was previously special counsel in Credit Finance at Cooley LLP.
Charpentier’s practice focuses on commercial lending, debt finance, secured transactions, mergers and acquisitions, equity financings and other general corporate matters. He is well known for his work with lenders, financial institutions and venture backed companies in California, in the Washington, D.C. metro area and in various other markets across the U.S.
Prior to joining Cooley, Charpentier was an associate at Sullivan & Worcester, practicing in the firm’s Washington, D.C. and Boston offices for more than three years.

Charpentier earned a bachelor’s degree from Boston College and a master’s degree from George Washington University, Elliot School of International Affairs. He received his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Villanova University School of Law. He also studied for a year in Sofia, Bulgaria on a Fulbright Fellowship.
