Financial Services Litigation Partner Joins Troutman Sanders Charlotte Office
Charlotte, NC – April 3, 2017 – Troutman Sanders LLP announced today that Amy Pritchard Williams has joined the firm’s Financial Services Litigation practice in the Charlotte office. She previously practiced at K&L Gates LLP.
Williams’ practice focuses on financial services litigation and bankruptcy. She represents financial institutions in connection with False Claims Act actions, internal investigations and government investigations. She also has extensive experience defending class actions and representing secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy proceedings, and receivership and foreclosure actions.
“As banks across the country manage ongoing compliance requirements and regulatory uncertainty, they need well-versed and experienced counsel across all areas of financial services litigation,” noted Tony Jones, Chair of the firm’s Specialized Litigation Department. “Amy’s experience in handling these types of legal issues for high profile clients will enhance the firm’s presence in Charlotte, the second-largest banking center in the United States.”

Williams was a Morehead Scholar at University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, where she received her bachelor’s degree with distinction. She obtained her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
