Generic Drug Price-Fixing Suits Just Tip Of The Iceberg
Troutman Sanders partner Daniel Anziska was quoted in a Jan. 6 Law360 article about a state AG lawsuit alleging generic drug companies and executives engaged in price-fixing and marketing-sharing. Daniel shared the perspective that according to court documents, it is evident that investigators have already seen communications that could help build cases against the drug company executives, saying, “Practically speaking, when you’re talking about emails and telephone calls, individuals are the ones who make those decisions…You can assume [the investigators] will be targeting the senior-level executives.” Daniel also commented on how the new administration will impact the ongoing case, saying, “While certainly soon-to-be President Trump has been fairly enigmatic overall on how antitrust will be implemented, he has made clear that drug pricing is a huge issue for him…I would expect aggressive continuation of this investigation."
