Hospital Wants To Triple $10M Jury Verdict Over Pepcid Patent
A Jan. 23 Law360 article shared the latest developments in a considerable win for clients Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), reporting that after an eight-day trial in December in which a jury unanimously determined that drugmaker Perrigo owes the hospital royalties for patent infringement and found willful infringement, and awarded $10.2 million to plaintiffs. The Hospital has now moved the Court based upon the jury’s willful infringement finding to triple the damages award to $30.6 million. The trial team representing BWH included James Bollinger, Timothy Heaton, Phoenix Pak, Susan Grace, Puja Patel Lea, Lindsay Mitchell Henner, Scott Douglas Barnett and Robert Browne.
