Lumos to be acquired for $950 million
Troutman Sanders represented Lumos Networks Corp., a U.S. fiber-based service operator, in an agreement to be acquired by EQT Infrastructure, a Swedish private equity firm. Assisting Lumos in the $950 million transaction, which is expected to be completed during Q3 2017, were corporate lawyers David Carter, Mason Bayler, Coby Beck, Heather Ducat, Betty Segaar, Camille Pompei, and Kaitlin Cannavo, employee benefits lawyer Jeff Banish, finance lawyer Hazen Dempster, intellectual property lawyer Mike Hobbs, and tax lawyer Robert Friedman. The deal, announced in a press release on Feb. 20, has already received wide media attention, and Troutman Sanders was named for its representation of Lumos in Virginia Business Magazine, M&A Navigator, Street Insider, CityBizList and The Deal Pipeline.
