As a senior discovery attorney, Monica assists case teams and other Troutman Pepper eMerge discovery attorneys and project managers with overseeing the document review and production process. She also conducts higher level document review and analysis. Monica frequently serves as a review team lead where she supervises project attorneys to ensure substantive document review is carried out consistently with the directives of the case team within the deadlines required. Monica leverages her knowledge of the facts and documents to assist case teams throughout the lifecycle of the case including preparing privilege logs, chronologies, and deposition preparation materials. Monica also conducts targeted searches to help identify key documents, inconsistencies in the review, or non-responsive categories of documents which can be excluded from the review process.

Monica has in-depth experience managing teams of attorneys working on document reviews and deposition preparation for a diverse range of matters including: government investigations, intellectual property infringement claims, construction litigation, and business litigation.
Prior to focusing on eDiscovery, Monica practiced Disability Rights law, and has published case law in California. She utilizes this experience to provide client focused service, and to help case teams craft discovery plans uniquely tailored to fit the needs of each client and matter. In law school, Monica served as articles editor for the Hastings Business Law Journal.
