Jaime Theriot is presenting “Practical and Legal Issues with Community Treatment for Persons with Mental Illness” at the National Association of Attorneys General 2014 Winter Meeting on February 24-26, 2014 in Washington, D.C. This session addresses the issues raised in releasing state prisoners who require mental health treatment into the community. The discussion will include mental health threat assessments, community-based and institutional mental health treatment, and the issues arising from the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Olmstead v. L.C.
