Product Liability Partner Joins Troutman Sanders Litigation Practice in Atlanta
Troutman Sanders LLP announced today that Halli Cohn has joined the firm’s Litigation practice as a product liability partner in the Atlanta office. She comes to the firm from King & Spalding LLP.
Cohn has extensive trial experience in courts throughout the country. She focuses on the defense of complex personal injury and product liability cases involving pharmaceutical and medical devices. She also has tried cases involving allegations of automotive design and manufacturing issues and serious personal injury and medical negligence cases. In addition to her trial practice, Cohn has managed large-scale mass tort litigations. She is often called upon to assist companies in analyzing and preventing product liability risk.
“In addition to her significant first-chair trial experience, Halli regularly serves as national counsel on a wide-range of product cases,” said Bill Withrow, chair of Troutman Sanders’ Litigation Department. “She will be a great addition to the litigation team, the firm and our clients.”
Pete Robinson, Atlanta office managing partner, noted, “Halli’s knowledge of product liability law is essential in today’s litigation environment. Her depth of experience will add to our strengths in this area as the firm continues to follow a planned strategy of growth.”
Troutman Sanders’ nationally ranked products liability practice has defended major pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, often serving as national or regional trial counsel in high-stakes litigation. The firm has established a particularly strong resume handling multiple cases involving the same product or arising out of the same event. In addition, the firm has represented clients, both national and international, in a variety of industries in complex asbestos litigation matters. The firm’s experience also extends to toxic exposure and consumer product litigation and recalls.
“I am excited to join Troutman Sanders,” Cohn said. “The firm enjoys an outstanding reputation. I look forward to collaborating with my new colleagues and contributing to the continued expansion of the firm’s litigation practice.”
Cohn received her bachelor’s degree from Duke University and her J.D. from Emory University School of Law.
