Questionable contributions in Connecticut
Richmond partner Bryan Haynes was quoted in a June 2 New Haven Register
article about alleged questionable contributions made to Chris Donovan’s 5
th district congressional run in Connecticut that has resulted in the arrest of his campaign’s finance director and the firing of his campaign manager.
Haynes, who has been involved with legal matters involving Connecticut smoke shop owners over the past several months, stated in the article that even if the allegations contained in the arrest affidavit were proven to be true, consumers
shouldn’t hold it against the smoke shop industry in the state. “It doesn’t mean it’s endemic to the industry,” he said.
Haynes was also quoted in a June 14 Hartford Courant article about said smoke shops bracing for new regulations to take effect in the state on October, 1.
