Richmond partner quoted in Law360
Financial Services Litigation practice group leader and Richmond partner David Anthony was quoted in a July 18 Law360 article about President Barrack Obama announcing the nomination of current Consumer Financial Protection Bureau enforcement chief Richard Cordray, who previously served as Ohio’s attorney general, for the top post at the newly created watchdog.
“Cordray is by no means a shoo-in for confirmation,” Anthony said. “He is not expected to change the new agency’s direction from that set by Ms. Warren,” he added, noting that Warren selected Cordray to be the CFPB’s chief enforcement officer in the first place.
