Team of firm lawyers assist Key Equipment Finance on energy deal
Troutman Sanders was mentioned in a March 13 Clean Energy Authority article about Key Equipment Finance, a subsidiary of KeyCorp, installing and leasing a 32-acre system on Rutgers University’s campus, which will allow the university to save roughly $28 million in energy costs over 20 years. Key also did a similar project at Princeton University that involved a 5.3-megawatt solar installation, which is slated for completion this summer. The firm was consulted by Key on these two installations for legal advice in regards to the deal structuring and the 1603 U.S. Treasury Grant Program.
Project Development and Finance practice group leader and New York partner Craig Kline, New York partner Sonia Bain, Orange County partner John Leonti, Washington partner Howard Cooper, New York associates Edward Ivey and Clara Mak, and New York paralegal Robert Libonati all worked on the case.
