The Zell Miller Institute aims to be a new player in Georgia politics
In a Jan. 4 Atlanta Journal Constitution article, Troutman Sanders Atlanta managing partner Pete Robinson is named among the founding board members of the newly established Zell Miller Institute for Public Policy. Pete is described as “the uber-connected Troutman Sanders lobbyist” in the article, which describes the institute’s focus on bipartisan policies, the promotion of public service, and the creation of an action fund for candidates seeking future election. Robinson was a student of then Lieutenant Governor Miller during his undergraduate days at Emory University. Later after Robinson was elected to the Georgia Senate, he served as part of Governor Miller’s leadership team. The Gwinnett Daily Post, the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer and the Arlington Sun Gazette also named Pete and Troutman Sanders Strategies in its coverage of the organization’s founding.
