The cost of e-discovery
E-Discover & Data Management practice group leader and Atlanta partner Alison Grounds was quoted in an October 1 Law360 article titled “ Firms Must Spend Big to Enter Crowded E-Discovery Market.”
The article’s author warns that if a firm plans on opening in-house e-discovery services, its leaders – either project managers or knowledgeable discovery attorneys – should work to execute a plan that looks at the big picture, rather than each segment of the process individually. “You’d never go into other areas of litigation without a plan of attack,” Grounds said. “But that’s exactly what firms are doing with e-discovery.”
In this same article, as well as another Law360 article on October 4, the firm also was touted for launching its fully-owned e-discovery unit called eMerge in June.
