Troutman Sanders Adds Another Veteran Litigation Partner to Atlanta Office
ATLANTA – James B. “Jim” Manley, Jr. has joined Troutman Sanders LLP as a litigation partner in the Atlanta office. He comes to the firm from Dentons, along with partner Randal Lejuwaan, counsel Jill Kuhn and senior consultant Joe Mohorovic. He is the second litigation partner to join the Atlanta office in the last month – David Meadows joined the firm in January.
An experienced litigator, Manley handles high-exposure torts and catastrophic injuries, consumer product safety and product liability matters, commercial disputes, and professional and fiduciary liability matters. His clients span diverse industries and include product manufacturers and retailers, officers and directors of private and public companies, finance companies, insurance companies, and public utilities.
“Jim is an experienced litigator who has successfully served as trial counsel in various matters, including wrongful death and product liability suits, and as defense counsel in bet-the-company litigation,” said Bill Withrow, chair of the firm’s Business Litigation Department.
Kuhn is particularly experienced in handling matters involving product liability, consumer products, high-exposure torts and catastrophic injuries. She has handled product liability jury trials in state and federal courts and has appellate experience in Georgia state and federal courts. Mohorovic, a former commissioner of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), advises clients on their reporting requirements to the CPSC and assists them in investigations and enforcement actions before the commission.
“With their addition, we continue to expand our litigation bench strength in Atlanta,” said Pete Robinson, managing partner of the firm’s Atlanta office. “We look forward to partnering with them to provide the best service for our clients.”
Troutman Sanders’ Business Litigation team encompasses more than 180 attorneys skilled at managing complex, multi-district litigation. The firm has represented clients in a broad range of issues in all 50 states and in virtually all federal jurisdictions, including the U.S. Supreme Court. Attorneys have prevailed on multi-million dollar, bet-the-company cases, high-stakes government investigations, and complex cases in many industries including energy, insurance, banking and financial services, life sciences, telecommunications, technology, real estate, and construction.
“Troutman Sanders is a strategic fit for my practice and my clients, and I look forward to working with the team in and beyond Atlanta to benefit our clients,” Manley said.
Manley received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and his J.D. from Mercer University School of Law in Macon, Georgia.
Kuhn received both her bachelor’s degree and J.D. from the University of Georgia.
Mohorovic received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and MBA from the University of New Mexico.
