Troutman Sanders Advises Southern on Solar Power Investment
Atlanta based Southern Company’s Southern Power unit has purchased controlling interest in a solar facility in Texas from Canadian Solar Inc’s Recurrent Energy. The remaining interest in the facility will be held by Recurrent Energy. The amount of the deal has not been made public.
According to Southern Power this is their first solar project in the Lone Star state. The plant is expected to begin operations in the fall of 2016.
