Troutman Sanders Attorneys Selected for 2018 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Programs
ATLANTA – San Francisco partner Mark Mao was selected by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) to be a fellow in 2018, and Richmond associate Whitney Loughran was selected to be a pathfinder.
As fellow, Mao will help identify, train and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession. Mao is a partner in the Cybersecurity, Information Governance, and Privacy and Business Litigation practices at Troutman Sanders. His practice focuses primarily on emerging technologies and data-based products, with a particular interest in helping them with their intellectual property and privacy law needs.
According to LCLD President Robert J. Grey, Jr., the LCLD Fellows Program offers participants “a year-long, in-depth program devoted to relationship-building, in-person training, peer group projects, and extensive contact with LCLD’s top leadership and the best teachers in the business.”
Loughran, an associate in the firm’s Multifamily Housing Finance practice, will participate in the LCLD Pathfinder Program and receive foundational leadership skills and peer-networking opportunities.
“We believe it’s a program that can help catapult a person’s career,” Grey said.
Loughran’s practice focuses on commercial real estate, specializing in the multifamily housing industry, including lender representation in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac lending programs.
Founded in 2009, LCLD’s membership includes more than 285 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners committed to creating a more diverse and inclusive legal profession.
