Troutman Sanders Continues Charlotte Expansion with Addition of Finance Partner
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – March 16, 2015 – Troutman Sanders LLP announced today that Keith A. Mrochek has joined the firm’s Finance practice as a partner in the Charlotte office. He joins the firm from Nexsen Pruet, LLP.
Mrochek focuses his practice on helping clients structure, negotiate, close and, when necessary, restructure or workout a wide array of debt financing. Specifically, he concentrates his work on syndicated and non-syndicated real estate-based construction and acquisition finance, commercial/industrial project and asset-based finance, syndicated and non-syndicated corporate finance, subordinated/mezzanine/second lien debt finance, workout and restructure finance, and energy finance and supply agreements.
“Keith is a great addition to Troutman Sanders,” said Walter Fisher, managing partner of the firm’s Charlotte office. “Since the opening of our office last May, we have actively sought opportunities to grow and diversify our finance practice in Charlotte. Keith will be a perfect fit as we move forward in that endeavor, and we are excited to welcome him to the firm.”
“We believe that Keith’s presence in Charlotte will play a strategic role in the continued expansion of our finance practice firm-wide,” said Ashley Story, chair of the firm’s Real Estate and Finance department. “Keith is well connected in this market, and his experience in REIT and syndicated financing will provide added depth to the firm’s capabilities in those areas.”
Mrochek received his undergraduate degree from Grove City College and received his J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law.
“I am very pleased to be joining Troutman Sanders,” said Mrochek. “My practice and client base align extremely well with the firm’s finance practice. I am looking forward to working with the firm’s finance lawyers, as well as lawyers in other practices, to meet the needs of my clients and to continue to broaden the scope of the firm’s bank representation.”
With the addition of Mrochek, the firm’s Charlotte office has 20 lawyers. The practice includes corporate, real estate, finance, litigation and energy.
