Troutman Sanders Wins Multiple M&A Atlas Awards

Small to Mid Markets M&A Law Firm of The Year at last night’s 8 th annual Americas M&A Atlas Awards Gala held in New York City and presented by the Global M&A Network. In addition, its client, Tribute Pharmaceuticals Canada, Inc., won Pharmaceutical & Devices Deal of the Year and client Southern Company won the U.S.A. Size Range $200 to $500 Million Deal of the Year. The independent awards honor excellence from the North and South Americas mid-market segments.

Pharmaceutical & Devices Deal of the Year
Troutman Sanders advised Tribute Pharmaceuticals in its combination with Pozen, Inc. The U.S. tax inversion transaction resulted in the creation of Aralez Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a global specialty pharmaceutical company with operations in Canada, Ireland, and the United States and was accompanied by an infusion of $350 million of new capital in the form of equity, debt and a credit line from a number of leading U.S. and foreign pharmaceutical industry investors.

Frank Schiller and Eric Koontz, both partners in the firm’s Atlanta office, represented Southern Company in its acquisition of PowerSecure.
