Christopher Kadish is an attorney in the firm's Financial Services Litigation practice, whose focus includes the representation of clients in consumer law, business disputes, and commercial litigation. Specifically, Christopher focuses on defending against claims arising under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ("FCRA"), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ("FDCPA"), Telephone Consumer Protection Act ("TCPA"), and the Truth in Lending Act ("TILA").

Prior to joining Troutman Sanders, Christopher spent many years litigating at large firms in California, where he represented business and individual clients in all stages of civil litigation in both federal and state court. Christopher’s practice included a wide array of matters, including breach of contract, fraud, misrepresentation, defamation, employment and trade secret misappropriation.

Representative Matters

  • Second-chaired four-day jury trial resulting in directed verdict and judgment of over $4 million for investment firm client involving breach of contract and breach of personal guaranty claims.
  • Second-chaired arbitration resulting in over $1.6 million judgment in favor of investor clients on claims of breach of contract, fraud and breach of fiduciary duty against investment manager.
  • Obtained voluntary dismissal of Proposition 65 action against client following deposition of key nonparty witness.
  • Prevailed on motion for summary judgment for client defending against claims of breach of contract brought by commercial surety provider.
  • Negotiated settlement in favor of client bringing claims of trade secret misappropriation against former employee who alleged counterclaims for defamation and violation of wage and hour statutes.
