Graffiti: no longer a dirty word in Richmond
Troutman Sanders received press coverage on Richmond’s CBS 6, in the Richmond Times-Dispatch, StyleWeekly and other publications in April for helping nationally respected street artists turn drab factory walls in Richmond’s River City district into lively murals for the city’s first RVA Street Art Festival held April 12-15.
In the WTVR television piece, Richmond office administrator Bob Newcomb stated that the mural he and other Troutman Sanders attorneys and staff were working on was “a paint-by-numbers” project for artist Chris Milk Hulbert. Hulbert’s mural and others will be part of an on-going, two-year outdoor street gallery.
In addition to providing free painting services, the firm was also a sponsor of the RVA event. Approximately 50 Troutman Sanders attorneys and staff participated in the event.
