Mark Windon Jones and Zayne Ridenhour Tweed were published in the Virginia Association of Community Banks E-Newsletter for an article titled, “ Leaning Your Bank’s Ladders Against the Right Walls – Five Governance and Regulatory Considerations for Bank Directors.” In the article, the authors discuss “five corporate governance and regulatory issues that recently have been receiving particular attention from regulators and investors”, including cybersecurity, board oversight and board diversity. They conclude that, “Banking is essentially a business of assuming and managing risk – and it is up to the board to ensure effective risk governance.
