Trauma Informed Lawyering: Learn how to work with professionalism, empathy and understanding while representing trauma survivors. Hosted by a co-founder of Villanova Law’s Institute to Address Commercial Sexual Exploitation (i.e. human trafficking), this CLE will incorporate lessons and examples from their advocacy for trafficking survivors.

The Villanova Institute to Address Commercial and Sexual Exploitation works with those responding to sexual exploitation in the United States and beyond. They provide victim-centered, trauma-informed multidisciplinary collaboration. Troutman Pepper has already begun working with the CSE institute to represent victims of sex trafficking. This presentation will provide necessary context and tools to anyone who is interested in working with the CSE institute. While this presentation focuses on trafficking survivors, content in this presentation will be widely applicable to representing clients who have suffered other kinds of trauma.

Join Troutman Pepper and the Villanova CSE Institute on October 27 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. ET for a CLE training that will cover the basics of trauma-informed lawyering. Attendees of this event will earn two CLE ethics credits.
