Two Troutman Pepper Partners Named Among Georgia's Most Influential Politically Connected Attorneys
ATLANTA – Justice Harold Melton and Charles Peeler, two Atlanta-based partners at Troutman Pepper, have been named among JAMES Magazine’s 2022 list of Georgia’s Most Influential Politically Connected Attorneys. The list recognizes lawyers who shape public or private policies in the interconnected world of the law, business, and politics.
Justice Melton joined the firm last year after serving 16 years on the Supreme Court of Georgia, including almost three years as chief justice. He is experienced in a wide cross-section of complex litigation and regulatory matters and provides actionable insights for clients involved in appellate, state attorneys general, and commercial litigation matters.
Peeler, the former United States Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia, represents clients in civil and criminal government enforcement actions, litigation arising from cyberattacks and data breaches, and complex commercial disputes. He also works proactively with clients to develop ethics and compliance programs and conduct internal investigations.
JAMES Magazine’s 2022 list of Georgia’s Most Influential Politically Connected Attorneys is based on extensive staff research, suggestions from media sources covering the space, and interviews with a wide range of attorneys.
