Jim Lamberth has close to 30 years of experience representing leading global businesses in high stakes business litigation at both the trial and appellate levels. Jim specializes in antitrust, complex contract litigation, business torts, and intellectual property disputes and also has extensive experience in fiduciary litigation.   • Counsel to Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. and Time Warner Inc. in a contract dispute with Fox Sports Net South involving the launch of the new cable television network, Turner South.
  • Counsel to Reed Construction Data, a Reed Elsevier company, in a corporate espionage lawsuit against The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc. involving claims of monopolization under Section 2 of the Sherman Act and unfair competition under the Lanham Act and state law.
  • Counsel to the North American Coca-Cola bottling system in breach of contract action against its aluminum can sheet supplier.
  • Counsel to Cartoon Network, Inc. and Cable News Network, Inc. in separate putative class actions stemming from claims that content viewed on Cartoon Network and CNN mobile software applications violated the Video Privacy Protection Act.
  • Counsel to CertainTeed Corporation in price fixing class actions involving building materials.
  • Counsel to Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. in an action brought against MGM Domestic Television Distribution, Inc. involving claims of breach of a film licensing agreement.
  • Counsel to Universal Wresting Corporation in an action brought by Terry Bollea, p/k/a “Hulk Hogan” and “Hollywood Hogan” involving claims of breach of contract and defamation.
  • Counsel to Siemens Electromechanical Components, Inc. in an antitrust action brought by Spectronics, Inc., a former distributor, involving claims of monopolization under Section 2 of the Sherman Act and other business torts.
  • Counsel to Healthdyne Technologies, Inc. and HealthScan Products, Inc. in an antitrust action brought by Tri-anim Health Services, Inc., involving claims for violations of Sections 1 and 2 of the Sherman Act, Section 3 of the Clayton Act and the Robinson-Patman Act.
  • Counsel to E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company in an action arising out of the termination of a license agreement with a carpet manufacturer involving claims for violation of the Robinson-Patman Act and Section 1 of the Sherman Act.
  • Counsel to Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. and certain of its directors in a series of actions brought by TBS shareholders against TBS and its directors involving various direct and derivative claims in connection with the TBS-Time Warner Inc. merger.
  • Counsel to AT&T in an antitrust action brought by Connect America Corporation involving allegations of unlawful monopolization in violation of Section 2 of the Sherman Act.
  • Counsel to major industrial company in a grand jury investigation conducted by the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice involving charges of criminal price fixing.
