Katharine Malone is an attorney in the firm’s San Francisco office. Katharine focuses her practice on commercial litigation matters, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in matters related to cybersecurity, and information privacy, breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duties, and employee mobility issues. She has experience litigating in state and federal courts.

She also has experience advising companies relating to data protection, use, and compliance, including drafting of privacy policies and terms and conditions.

Representative Matters

  • Successfully argued personal jurisdiction and breach of contract matter for a commercial tour company in front of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
  • Represented a broad range of defendants facing allegations of data misuse, fraud, breach of contract, trade secret misappropriation, trademark dilution, and breach of fiduciary duties in state and federal court.
  • Represented lenders and loan servicers in FDCPA and breach of contract matters.
  • Advised clients on drafting and interpretation matters in various licensing and employee contracts, including confidentiality agreements, invention assignment agreements, and joint venture/intellectual property licensing agreements.
