Lauren is an associate in Troutman Sanders’ Business Litigation Group and the Government Investigations, Compliance, and Enforcement Section. Lauren’s practice focuses on representing clients involved in regulatory, civil, and criminal investigations and litigation. Lauren also represents clients interacting with and being investigated by state Attorneys General.

Prior to joining Troutman Sanders, Lauren was an Associate at Seward & Kissel LLP, where she represented a broad range of financial services and securities clients, including banks, investment companies, investment advisers, broker-dealers, high worth family offices, and foreign private issuers. Lauren closely monitored and advised clients regarding regulatory developments at the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. At Seward, Lauren spent significant time on a team that served as a federal monitor of an asset management firm under an SEC order. This matter was handled jointly by partners from the firm’s Litigation, Government Investigations, and Investment Management groups. As a result, Lauren has worked collaboratively with talented attorneys from both adversarial and non-adversarial practice areas.

Lauren graduated from Boston University School of Law in 2016. While at Boston University, she was an Honors Intern in the Complex Financial Instruments Unit at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Enforcement. She was also a Research Assistant to Professor David H. Webber, a leading securities legal scholar.

Prior to attending law school, Lauren graduated cum laude from Case Western Reserve University with a B.A. in English and Political Science. At Case, Lauren was an English Department Nemet Scholar and a recipient of the Political Science Department’s prestigious Wellman Hill Grant.
