Overview

Johanna assists corporate and university clients in drafting and prosecuting patents in the biotechnology and pharmaceuticals industries. She also conducts patentability, freedom-to-operate, and competitive landscape analyses. Johanna has extensive training in the biological sciences, including neurobiology, cellular and molecular biology, and biotechnology.

Prior to joining the firm, Johanna was a technical specialist at a boutique law firm serving startup biotechnology companies. Johanna holds a Ph.D. in anatomy and neurobiology from Boston University School of Medicine, with postdoctoral training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Yale University. As a basic scientist, her research broadly centered on physiological, neuronal, and synaptic signatures of cognitive aging and neurodegenerative disease.
