Rich Pepper is an associate in the Environmental and Natural Resources practice. He has assisted clients in all stages of environmental representation, including litigation, regulatory, and transactional matters. Rich’s expertise extends to a wide variety of environmental regulatory schemes under the Endangered Species Act; the Clean Water Act; the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act; and the Clean Air Act and state counterparts.

Specifically, Rich has completed environmental due diligence for over 4,000 MW of electricity generating capacity, mostly large scale renewable energy projects. In addition to interpreting the effect of regulatory changes on business operations, Rich has also assisted clients on multiple complex environmental litigation matters in federal and state court.

During the course of earning his environmental engineering degree and shortly thereafter, Rich completed research on energy efficient wastewater treatment mechanisms. In law school, he briefly worked with the Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards of the EPA, focusing on Title V and PSD air regulatory schemes. Rich has also received Engineer-In-Training and Patent Agent certifications.
