Sarah Warren Smith is an associate in the firm’s Consumer Financial Services practice, with a primary focus on Financial Services Litigation. Sarah Warren focuses her practice on complex litigation and defends consumer-facing companies of all types in individual and class action claims, including claims under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ("FDCPA"), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act ("RESPA"), Fair Credit Reporting Act ("FCRA"), Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act ("HOEPA"), Fair Housing Act ("FHA"), and Equal Credit Opportunity Act ("ECOA"). Sarah Warren has defended companies in individual and class action cases in many states, including Virginia, Maryland, Florida, Illinois, Texas, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina.

Sarah Warren also litigates corporate disputes, contract disputes, products liability, and tort liability. She has extensive litigation experience and can help prepare and defend clients in all aspects of litigation, including motions practice, discovery, mediation, and trial. Sarah Warren has argued dispositive motions in state and federal courts, served as lead counsel on dozens of jury and bench trials in Virginia state circuit and general district courts, and handled appeals before the Virginia Supreme Court and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Sarah Warren graduated magna cum laude from the University of Richmond School of law and was a member of the Order of the Coif. She served as Annual Survey Editor for the University of Richmond Law Review and was a member of the Moot Court Board.
