Prior to his retirement, Bill Freedman was a member of the firm's Corporate practice. His practice focused on the representation of public companies in connection with corporate governance, Sarbanes-Oxley, securities regulation, mergers and acquisitions, going private transactions, and general corporate matters. Bill also possesses significant experience in trademark licensing matters and domestic and international distribution arrangements.
As a member of the Finance practice, Bill represented commercial banks and other financial institutions, as well as borrowers, in a wide range of financing transactions, including secured and unsecured revolving credit, letter of credit, term loan and other facilities, inventory and accounts receivable financings, asset securitizations, and acquisition financings, among others. Bill's practice also included advising merchant banks, other funding sources and emerging companies in loan facilities and capital investments transactions.
