Troutman Sanders Counsels Mizuno in Atlanta Braves Partnership Agreement
ATLANTA – Sept. 23, 2016 – Troutman Sanders counseled Mizuno USA, the U.S. subsidiary of a Japanese sports equipment and sportswear company, in a partnership agreement with the Atlanta Braves. The deal was featured in the Fulton County Daily Report, Atlanta Business Chronicle and The Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Mizuno, which has its U.S. headquarters in metro Atlanta, will be the team’s official “baseball gear partner,” and the brand will have prominent advertising within the new SunTrust Park, and offer a unique program to loan baseball gloves to fans to catch foul balls.
As a part of the agreement a showroom “experience center” which be built and will feature Mizuno products in a number of sports, including golf, baseball, running, softball and volleyball. The center will be located in the Battery Atlanta entertainment area near SunTrust Park in Cobb County, the new home of the Atlanta Braves.
The Troutman Sanders team was led by Mike Hobbs, with support from Anthony Greene on the Battery Atlanta lease.
