Troutman Sanders Lawyers to Speak at IMN’s Upcoming Conference on Real Estate Workouts
Attorneys Marty Taylor and Dan Chambers, from the Orange County office of Troutman Sanders, will be speaking at IMN’s 3rd Annual Bank & Financial Institutions Special Assets Executive Conference on Real Estate Workouts to be held September 10-11, 2012, in Santa Monica, Calif. The conference brings together Special Asset, Special Servicers, REO, Credit and C-level executives to discuss the latest CRE workout issues.
Taylor, a partner in the Real Estate Finance group, will serve as the Session Chair for “Hotel Workouts: What are the Best ways to Raise your ROI?” on Monday, September 10, 2012, at 2:35 p.m. The seminar will discuss selling assets in bankruptcy, credit bid updates, rescue capital, when shutting down a hotel is the best solution and more. Taylor’s practice focuses on a wide variety of financial matters, both performing and distressed, including hotel and resort properties.
“Why Workouts Sometimes Don’t Work Out” is the discussion that Chambers, a partner in the Bankruptcy group, will chair on September 11, 2012, at 12:25 p.m. The seminar will address issues unique to different asset classes including CMBS workouts and loss share asset workouts, and how to advise the borrower as to why a workout won’t “work out.” Chambers focuses his practice on the representation of financial institutions and borrowers in all aspects of litigation involving secured and unsecured debt, including bankruptcy, receiverships, pre-and post-judgment remedies, foreclosures, guaranty actions and lender liability.
