Troutman Sanders Partner Named President of Construction Lawyers Society of America
ATLANTA – September 20, 2017 – Barbara Werther has been named president of the Construction Lawyers Society of America ("CLSA"), an exclusive construction lawyer honorary society. Werther is a partner in Troutman Sanders LLP's Construction practice practicing in the Washington, D.C. office.

In 2006, Werther co-founded the Women in Construction (“WIC”) Conference, a leadership and networking conference for women in the construction industry. The group is committed to improving the diversity of its board, panelists and attendees. Its 12th annual conference will be held this October in Washington, D.C.

She represents developers in contract drafting and dispute resolution on some of the largest projects in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, specializing in contract terms and conditions for developers and owners with a focus on contract drafting and negotiation.
Werther received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and her J.D. from George Washington University.
