Troutman Sanders Receives ‘Deal of the Year’ Award for Advising on BNC Bancorp Merger
ATLANTA – Troutman Sanders LLP has received a “Deal of the Year” award from The M&A Advisor for its work on behalf of BNC Bancorp. The firm was recognized with the “Corporate/Strategic Deal of the Year (Over $1B)” award for its efforts advising on a $1.9 billion acquisition of BNC Bancorp by Pinnacle Financial Partners.
The merger, which was completed in January, expanded Pinnacle’s urban community banking model into seven new markets across the Carolinas and Virginia. Additionally, Bank of North Carolina, BNC’s wholly-owned bank subsidiary, merged into Pinnacle Bank, Pinnacle’s wholly-owned bank subsidiary.
The M&A Advisor recognized the deal among its 16th Annual M&A Advisor Awards.
