Rebekah A.Z. Monson, a senior attorney in the Health Care Services Practice Group of Pepper Hamilton, will speak on the topics, "HIPAA Privacy Basics" and "HIPAA Security Basics" on Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 10:30-11:30 AM.
Ms. Monson counsels health care providers (including physicians and physician groups), hospitals and health systems, long-term care providers, service providers, outpatient diagnostic centers, and other health care companies and organizations, on health care regulatory issues. She also counsels health care providers, health care organizations, and other companies on a variety of issues including compliance with the requirements of HIPAA, HITECH, and other federal and state laws relating to privacy, confidentiality and security of health information.
Jan P. Levine and Matthew V. DelDuca will speak on the topic "The Employed Physician: Avoiding Collisions at the Intersection of Medical Staff and HR" being presented on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 2:25-3:25 PM.
Ms. Levine is a litigation partner with Pepper Hamilton and co-chair of the Commercial Litigation Practice Group. She focuses her practice on health care litigation, data breach, antitrust/unfair trade practices, and directors' and officers' liability.
Mr. DelDuca is a partner with Pepper Hamilton LLP and chair of the firm's Labor and Employment Practice Group. He also is a member of the Commercial Litigation Practice Group. Mr. DelDuca is an experienced trial lawyer who, over the last two decades, has litigated hundreds of cases in the New Jersey state and federal courts and has tried dozens of cases to verdict. His trial experience includes individual and class employment cases, non-competition and trade secret litigation, complex business litigation, shareholder litigation, product liability and mass tort litigation.
