Civil Rights Organization Gives Troutman Sanders Top Marks for LGBTQ Workplace Equality
ATLANTA – November 9, 2017 – For the 10th consecutive year, Troutman Sanders LLP has received a top rating of 100 percent in the Corporate Equality Index (CEI), an annual survey administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation that measures LGBTQ workplace equality.
Troutman Sanders was among 609 U.S. businesses – and among one of only seven Atlanta-based law firms – that achieved a rating of 100 percent, receiving the distinction of “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality,” for its support of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) lawyers and staff.
“We are proud to be named a ‘Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality’ for the 10th year in a row,” said Steve Lewis, managing partner of Troutman Sanders. “At Troutman Sanders, our commitment to an inclusive environment at work and excellence in client care are core values that define us."
The 2018 CEI rated 5,093 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community.
