Ethan G. Ostroff Joins Troutman Sanders in Virginia Beach
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The law firm of Troutman Sanders LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Ethan G. Ostroff as an associate in its Complex Litigation practice group in Virginia Beach, Va.
Ostroff comes to Troutman Sanders from Vandeventer Black LLP, where he was an associate from 2006 until he joined Troutman Sanders.
At Troutman Sanders, Ostroff’s practice will focus on general and commercial litigation, with an emphasis in consumer finance litigation. Specifically, he will represent various entities in construction, maritime, commercial
lease and business torts litigation.
Ostroff is a member of many legal organizations, including the Virginia Beach Bar Association; the American Bar Association; the Federal Bar Association; the Norfolk Portsmouth Bar Association, where he serves on the Young Lawyers
Committee; and the Virginia Bar Association, where he is co-chair of its Disaster Legal Assistance Committee of the Young Lawyers Section. Additionally, he is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the Virginia Association of Defense
Attorneys.
Outside of the legal world, he is a member of the board of directors for For Art’s Sake.
Prior to working at Vandeventer Black, Ostroff served as a law clerk to the Honorable H. Thomas Padrick Jr., the Honorable A. Bonwill Shockley, and the Honorable Frederick B. Lowe of the Virginia Beach Circuit Court, Second Judicial
Circuit from 2005 to 2006. From 2004 to 2005 he served as a legal intern to the Honorable Richard W. Roberts, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
Ostroff received a B.A., summa cum laude, in philosophy in 1999 from Emory University, a M.Phil. in 2002 from the University of Memphis, and a J.D., cum laude, in 2005 from American University.
