Excellence in Sports & Philanthropy Award
New York partner Andrew Perel was quoted in a March 30 Jets Wire article about former New York Jets safety Erik Coleman being honored with an “Excellence in Sports & Philanthropy Award” from the Manhattan Youth Baseball (MYB) organization on April 7. Coleman’s efforts with the nonprofit organization My Brother’s Keeper, which helps young men in difficult situations keep their life on track, was highlighted.
Andrew, the Manhattan Youth Baseball board chairman, said of Coleman and Joe Daniels, the president and CEO of the National September 11 Memorial and Museum who was being honored by the MYB with a “Patron of NYC Award”:
“These men not only deserve to be recognized for their outstanding contributions to the NYC community, but also for their selfless acts of kindness in which they impact the lives of others.”
Andrew’s involvement with the above event, which also included a celebrity charity casino night at Ben & Jack’s Steak House in Manhattan to raise money for MYB’s Grades 2 Play scholarship, obtained additional
