GA Attorney General Defends Murder Conviction Despite Justices’ Concerns
Tom Reilly was quoted in an Atlanta Journal-Constitution story, “ GA Attorney General Defends Murder Conviction Despite Justices’ Concerns.” Reilly, David Chaiken, Tiffany Bracewell and Majda Muhic represent Devonia Inman, a man convicted of murder in South Georgia. Inman is serving a life-without-parole sentence for the 1998 murder of a Taco Bell night manager, even though DNA evidence discovered years after his trial strongly suggests another man committed the murder. Reilly is quoted about attempts to obtain a new trial for Inman. “We hope to have the opportunity to change the attorney general’s mind in the future, in light of the many highly troubling facts and circumstances that have been uncovered since Mr. Inman’s conviction. We look forward to continuing the fight for justice for Mr. Inman.”
