Join us for the next installment of our webinar series covering the top issues in government contracts and cybersecurity — all in just 60 minutes. The Government Contracts Cyber Café provides coaching, training and analysis to help you work through the technical, legal, accounting and other requirements confronting your organization, with the goal of helping you achieve compliance with the current DFARS and FAR cyber rules, regulations and contract clauses.
With so much attention focused on CMMC and the DFARS cyber clause, it is easy to overlook other FAR and DFARS provisions impacting the daily contractor's compliance burden. We will take a fresh look at two lesser known clauses: FAR 52.204-24 and 25 (prohibiting delivery of telecommunications and surveillance equipment from certain Chinese firms) and the collateral implications of the domestic preferences embodied in the Buy American Act, the Trade Agreements Act waiver of BAA and their respective rules and associated clauses.
Hilary Cairnie, a partner with Troutman Pepper, and Heather Engel, managing partner of Strategic Cyber Partners, will cover the basics of each clause, what you generally can and cannot do, and how these impact your supply chain as well as your network security.
