Hispanic National Bar Association Elects Troutman Sanders Partner President-Elect
ATLANTA – October 4, 2017 – Jennifer Trusso Salinas has been elected President-Elect of the Hispanic National Bar Association (“HNBA”), a membership-based nonprofit that represents the interests of Hispanic legal professionals in the United States and its territories. Salinas is an Intellectual Property partner in Troutman Sanders' Orange County, California office.
“I am honored to serve as the 2017-18 President-Elect for the Hispanic National Bar Association,” Salinas said. “Today, our purpose is more important than ever before. With Latinos representing only 4 percent of all lawyers in the U.S., the HNBA will continue to focus on promoting diversity within our profession in addition to advocating on behalf of the more than 58 million people of Hispanic heritage living in the United States.”
“Jennifer Trusso Salinas has been a committed member and leader of the HNBA for many years. She brings a wealth of experience to the role and an unwavering resolve to advance the cause of diversity and inclusion in the legal profession,” said Alba Cruz-Hacker, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of the HNBA. “We are thrilled that Ms. Salinas is our President-Elect and look forward to working with her to continue making a difference in our communities.”
Salinas focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation, primarily patent litigation, and strategic counseling on all aspects of her clients’ intellectual property portfolios. Salinas has appeared in federal courts around the country at both the trial and appellate levels, and has litigated international patent licensing disputes before the ICC. Salinas has lead counsel and trial experience for several large patent and trademark infringement matters and is particularly skilled in managing large client teams.
Troutman Sanders’ Intellectual Property practice comprises more than 85 attorneys, patent agents and other intellectual property professionals. Attorneys handle intellectual property litigation matters in all phases of trial and appeal and bring considerable experience representing clients in complex trademark cases and high-stakes patent litigation.
Salinas received her JD from Loyola Law School, cum laude, and her bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University.
