Medicare Secondary Payer: Case Law Update
The Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) statute and regulations are anything but straightforward and consistent. In recent years, the courts have interpreted and enforced the Act, sometimes with alarming inconsistency. To help navigate the MSP minefield, DRI’s MSP Task Force is presenting an up-to-date synopsis of MSP case law.
Judy O’Grady, of counsel with Pepper Hamilton and a member of the firm’s Health Effects Litigation Practice Group, will be on the faculty presenting this webcast. Ms. O'Grady focuses her practice primarily on the defense of product liability actions against pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers. She also has significant experience counseling clients regarding federal regulations governing the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, the Medicare Secondary Payer Act, and Section 111 of the Medicare, Medicaid and SCHIP Extension Act of 2007.
