Pepper Hamilton achieved a perfect 100 percent rating on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2018 Corporate Equality Index (CEI). This is the sixth year the firm has received the top score and been designated as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.
The 2018 Corporate Equality Index is a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality, including nondiscrimination policies, employment benefits, demonstrated organizational competency and accountability around LGBTQ diversity and inclusion, public commitment to LGBTQ equality, and responsible citizenship.
The 2018 report rated 1,084 businesses, with a record 609 receiving a perfect score. Among major U.S. law firms, 127 firms earned a 100 percent rating in the CEI, once again putting the legal industry ahead of all other business sectors in LGBTQ inclusion policies.
Thomas J. Cole, Jr., managing partner at Pepper Hamilton, said, “At Pepper Hamilton, we are committed to providing industry-leading support and benefits for diverse attorneys, including our LGBTQ Peppers. We’re proud that the Human Rights Campaign has recognized our efforts for the sixth year in a row and again named us as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.”
