Pepper Hamilton Represents IGATE in $4 Billion Acquisition by Capgemini
In a $4 billion, tri-continental deal, Pepper Hamilton LLP, a multi-practice law firm and a trusted acquisitions and dispositions advisor, represented New Jersey-based IGATE Corp, in its negotiation of a definitive merger agreement to be acquired by French information technology services company Capgemini.
The Pepper Hamilton team was led by corporate partners, James J. Barnes, Valerie Demont and John P. Duke and associates Alexander D. Gonzalez, D. Taylor Ocasio, Patrick J. Bianchi and Daniel La Luz. Kirkland Ellis LLP was co-counsel with Pepper Hamilton.
“Deals of this magnitude are extremely rare in the IT space,” Barnes said. “We are pleased to have represented IGATE in this complex, cross-border acquisition.” Demont added, “With a robust portfolio of international clients and unique U.S.-India expertise, Pepper Hamilton was uniquely positioned to lead this deal. This was truly a collaborative effort.”
