Pepper Hamilton To Be Honored at the Philadelphia Business Journal 2016 Brotherly Love, Sisterly Affection Awards
Pepper Hamilton will be honored at the Philadelphia Business Journal's first ever Brotherly Love, Sisterly Affection Awards program on Thursday, April 7, 2016. The spring cocktail party takes place at The Ballroom at the Ben and will honor the partnerships among for-profit and nonprofit organizations that help the city of Philadelphia.
Pepper is being honored for our various initiatives benefiting the Veterans Multi-Service Center (VMC) throughout 2015, which include our volunteer work during our dedicated week of service from May 11-18, 2015. During this week, about 75 Pepper staff members provided lunch to 100-plus veterans in transition, organized activities for one-on-one interaction at VMC's day drop-in center, washed and detailed a fleet of 17 vans, built a toy area and a children's library for VMC's Women Veterans Center, cleaned and painted several areas within VMC's five-story facility and conducted a resume writing and interview skills session for unemployed/underemployed veterans. Additionally, Pepper donated $10,000 to VMC in honor of our dedicated to those who served.
The winners of the Brotherly Love, Sisterly Affection Awards were chosen based on monetary donations, social impact and community involvement that's taken place in the last 18 months. Pepper joins this year's 25 winners which include local law firms, restaurants and a casino.
About the Veterans Multi-Service Center
The Veterans Multi-Service Center (VMC) was founded in 1980 to address the multiple needs of Vietnam Veterans. Since that time, VMC's programs and assistance have grown and diversified to encompass the needs of Veterans of all
wars and conflicts, up to and including Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation New Dawn Veterans. The VMC's mission is to provide services, programs, opportunity and advancement to Veterans of the
U.S. military and their families.
