Protecting Low-Income Ratepayers as the Electricity System Evolves
Energy Law Journal recently published an article by Troutman Sanders lawyer Adrienne Thompson on the evolution of the electricity sector and how these changes will affect low-income ratepayers. In the article she discusses
the under-addressed problems low-income customers face—as millions of Americans struggle to pay their energy bills—and how such problems will likely be exacerbated as grid modernization efforts progress. Adrienne also
offers policy solutions that can both address this issue and complement the grid evolution already underway across the country.
