Troutman Pepper’s Nationally Recognized Regulatory and Enforcement Practice Debuts Podcast
NEW YORK – Troutman Pepper’s regulatory and enforcement practice, one of the country’s oldest practices dedicated solely to defending against enforcement actions from state attorneys general and other government authorities, launched today its Regulatory Oversight Podcast. The podcast analyzes the underlying trends that drive enforcement activity and provides expert perspectives on key focus areas.
“We aim to feature insightful guest commentary from a range of experts including business leaders, regulatory authorities, and current and former government officials,” said Partner Ashley Taylor.
“We will cover varied topics affecting companies operating in highly-regulated industries, including financial services, technology, manufacturing, life sciences, health care, and many others,” added Partner Stephen Piepgrass.
The first podcast episode features an interview with Iowa Attorney General Thomas Miller. General Miller currently serves as president of the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG). He also holds the distinction of being the longest currently serving attorney general in the nation with 10 terms.
The podcast comes less than one year after Troutman Pepper launched its Regulatory Oversight blog which offers in-depth analysis into regulatory actions by various state and federal regulatory authorities, including state attorneys general and other state administrative agencies, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Contributors have included attorneys with multiple specialties, including regulatory enforcement, litigation, and compliance.
Troutman Pepper is home to one of the oldest and most well-respected state attorneys general practices in the nation. The Chambers-rated state attorneys general practice includes three former state solicitors general, four former deputy attorneys general, a former deputy solicitor general, three former assistant attorneys general, and attorneys with a wide variety of experience in federal agencies.
Clients rely on Troutman Pepper’s regulatory and enforcement practice’s unique ability to anticipate the likely course of an investigation and to develop solutions to help streamline the investigation, from initiation through conclusion.
