Troutman Sanders Earns Corporate Equality Index Top Rating for Ninth Consecutive Year
ATLANTA – Troutman Sanders LLP is proud to announce its ninth consecutive year earning the top rating of 100 percent in the Corporate Equality Index (CEI), an annual survey administered by the
Human Rights Campaign Foundation.
This year marked the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Fourteenth Annual Scorecard on LGBTQ Workplace Equality. Troutman Sanders was among 517 U.S. businesses that achieved a rating of 100 percent, receiving the distinction
of “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality,” for its support of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) lawyers and staff.
“Troutman Sanders is honored once again to be recognized by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation,” said Steve Lewis, managing partner of Troutman Sanders. “We are and will remain committed to providing a diverse and inclusive workplace.”
“Even in the face of relentless attempts to undermine equality, America’s leading companies and law firms remain steadfast and committed to supporting and defending the rights and dignity of LGBTQ people,” said HRC President Chad Griffin. “The unprecedented expansion of inclusive workplaces across the country and around the globe not only reflects our progress, it helps drive it. As we enter a new chapter in our fight for equality, support from the business community will be more critical than ever to protect our historic advancements over the last decade and to continue to push equality forward for workers, customers, and families around the world.”
The 2017 CEI rated 1,043 businesses, evaluating LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBTQ community.
